The Cork-based
PfizerPfonics Choir, conducted by Bernadette Kiely, won the Perpetual Trophy with Geantraí in 2008 and Incantations in 2009. Both pieces composed by Michael McGlynns. The pieces were performed in the Premier National Competition for Mixed Voice Choirs.
The Perpetual Trophy award is offered by CMC to the best performance of a choral work written by an Irish composer since 1975 and selected from the centre's library collection.
